Turn Windows features on or off comes up blank

Users often decide to add more features to their operating system, they make the operating system more functional.

This type of incident can be caused by file corruption, registry corruption, or failure to install an update. Below we will give you the possible solutions.

Solution number 1: Restart the “Windows Modules Installer” service.

You can access it by typing “Services.msc”, Windows Services Manager without the quotes and running as administrator.

Another way you can do is by pressing the Windows key + R, inside there write “Services.msc”.

First step: The service is called Windows Modules Installer, once there, right click on properties.

Second step: Select the automatic state

Third step: Click the start button.

Fourth step: Click the OK button.

Fifth step: Restart the entire service.

Solution number 2: According to the Microsoft Community.

The following correction processes can be applied through the Windows command prompt “CMD”.

First step: Using the repair tools. Pressing the start key after typing the word command prompt or CMD and running it as administrator.

Second step: Once there, write the following command “Sfc /Scannow”. Without the quotes.

Third step: Enter the following command “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth”. Without the quotes

Fourth step: enter the following command “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth”. Without the quotes.

Note: The process of executing these commands can take from 15 to 30 minutes.

Fifth step: Restart the computer to make the changes.

Solution number 3: Deleting the StoreDirty registry key using Command Prompt.

First step: Searching for the word command prompt or (CMD) at start and run it as administrator.

Second step: Write the following words “reg delete HKLM\COMPONENTS /v StoreDirty”, without the quotes.

Third step: It will ask you to confirm the deletion of the record by typing the word “Yes”.

Solution number 4: It is in local group policy editor. Changing a setting.

First step: Press the start key and write the command “gpedit.msc”, without the quotes.

Second step: Go to the following path Administrative Templates> Control Panel> Programs.

Third step: Once there, click on “Hide Windows Features”, and then right click on edit.

Fourth step: Click where it says "Disabled" and then click accept.

Fifth step: Searching for the word command prompt or (CMD) at start and run it as administrator. Write the following command “gpupdate /force”, without the quotes.

Sixth step: In Hide Windows Features put the value in "Disabled", and click the accept button.

Seventh step: Apply the command “gpupdate /force” again, without the quotes and restart the computer.

Solution number 5: If the operating system is not working properly then using the restore tool might solve the problem. Restore the operating system to a point where that error can be reversed. But you must keep in mind that you must have a previously created restore point.

How to use the Windows recovery tool from a created restore point.

First step: Go to the following location open Control Panel > Recovery > Open system restore.

Second step: A window will open indicating which restore points have been created.

Third step: Choose the restore point and press the next button.

Note: Using the recovery tool does not affect any of the files or documents that are on your operating system.

All the steps explained do not affect the operation of your computer, each of these points have been previously tested to give a possible solution.
